National Cadet Corps [NCC]

NCC functions under the Ministry of Defence. The NCC is headed by an officer of the rank of Lieutenant General called the Director General (DG), NCC. His office is at New Delhi. Under DG there are 17 NCC Directorates covering all States and Union territories.

The NCC training has been thrown open to a much larger number of students in the Universities and has also been extended to join the organization.

MOTTO OF NCC : Unity and Discipline

    Aims of NCC :

  • To develop character, comradeship, discipline, leadership, secular outlook, spirit of adventures and the ideals of selfless service for the country amongst the youth.
  • To create a human resource of organised, trained and motivated youth, to provide leadership in all walks of life rendering their services to the nation and the community.
  • To provide a suitable environment to motivate the youth to take up a career in the Armed Forces.
  • Assist in Civil Defence measures.
  • Act as a Force multiplier.

In Our School :

Sri K. Suryanarayana Karanth

Then Sri A.Anathayya Tunga took charge. Sri A.Anathayya Thunga was the Successor NCC Officer in the year 1980-2000. He and his unit participated in various training programmme and camps. He made NCC unit alive in our institution after Sri K.S.Karanth. He has trained the cadets and sent them to National Level Camps (I.E., Trekking camps). One of our student participated in R.D. Camp, New Delhi. Every year he took NCC cadets to Kodachadri for Trekking for about 3 days.

 

Sri A.Anathayya Tunga

Then Sri A.Anathayya Tunga took charge. Sri A.Anathayya Thunga was the Successor NCC Officer in the year 1980-2000. He and his unit participated in various training programmme and camps. Sri Chandrashekara H.S.

Sri Chandrashekara H.S. took charge of the Naval Unit of our School unit in the year 1999-2008. He is presently working in Pre-University College as Hindi Lecturer. He was participated in various camps and undergone many trainings like, Pre commission course (18th June to 28th July 2001) at Kochin, Refresher course (01st Sep to 18th Sept 2003) at Vishakapattana. After this course has promoted to Second officer by getting A grade. Then he participated ANO Refresher course (6th June to 27 Jun 2006) at Vishakapattanam.

 

Sri G.Ganesha Navada

At Present Sri Ganesha Navada is in charge of Naval NCC unit of our school from 2008.
